8 Things You Cannot Deduct On Your Taxes

  1. Pets.
  2. Over-The-Counter medication.
  3. Lunch with your co-workers.
  4. Cost of dry cleaning or laundering your work clothes unless they are uniforms that would not be appropriate for other occasions.
  5. Value of your services and time spent volunteering.
  6. More than the current fair market value of items you donate.
  7. A home office that has another purpose e.g. a room also used for sleeping.
  8. Expenses of attending stockholder’s meetings.
