- Keep the Faith. Hold on to the things that ground you and always remember this world is so much bigger than you and it is okay that you are not in control.
- Surround yourself with supportive people who believe in you.
- Ask "Why not me" and not "why me". Even the most painful experiences come to teach us something and can be useful for others.
- Remember this too shall pass no matter how difficult, the emotions attached to an event in our lives do not remain the same. This is the magic in being human, one day you wake up and things are different.
- Take one step at a time and each day as it comes. Do not try to rush to feeling better. allow yourself to feel until you get past the emotions.
- Ask for help especially if you feel like your emotions are sinking you, talk to a friend or reach out to a counselor.
- Find the strength to do something that will make you smile in the midst of your tough season.
- Cultivate gratitude for the things that are going well in your life. Even though sometimes it feels like it, our world does not all crash at the same time.
